SEPT 2008 Mystery Book Cover
I recently came across an old photo of myself posing with another model, dressed as a Viking, for a paperback book cover -- but I couldn't remember which book the photo wound up being used for. But now, thanks to Booksteve's Library, Mark Evanier, and someone calling himself "Haljor," the mystery book has been found! It's "West With The Vikings," by Edison Marshall, published by Popular Press in 1962. The man in the photo is Steve Holland, who also posed for tons of Doc Savage paperback covers. Click the image below or here for a good look, and thanks so much to everyone for their help in solving this mystery!

Chris Noel appeared live at Graceland again this year, meeting Elvis Presley fans from all over the world, and taking part in ceremonies recalling the glory days of the king of rock and roll. Many thanks to the fabulous people at Vietnam magazine for the wonderful article in the August 2008 Issue. MAY 2008 ROLLING THUNDER 2008
I was proud to be the MC of this year's ROLLING THUNDER event, held annually in Washington, DC to honor veterans -- a tremendously moving experience. Thousands of bikers rode past the capitol, listened to wonderful guest speakers, and were reminded once again of what an amazing country we live in, and how lucky were, and are, to have the brave men and women in uniform who keep us free. Happy Memorial Day! Click the triangle below to watch a clip from the event.

JUNE 2006 Operation Homecoming 2006
Branson, Missouri was host to an event for Vietnam vets and their families called Operation Homecoming. Pictured right is a photo of me, Chris Noel, in Branson! What a great time I had, seeing so many vets together in one place! It was my honor to sing "Forgotten Man" for them, a song about Vietnam vets. A great time was had by all. For information on next year's event, click here.
JAN 2006 Marvel Comics "THE NAM"
In the 1980s, Marvel published a comic called "The Nam," with stories written by actual Vietnam veterans. I was thrilled when Marvel called and asked me if I would allow them to portray me in a special issue of The Nam. Vietnam vet Doug Murray wrote me into a lovely story about a soldier who feels lonely and rejected on Christmas Eve, and tells how my visit cheered him up. The
Chris Noel
Story
In 1962, America was at peace, JFK was President, and gorgeous young CHRIS NOEL exploded onto the Hollywood scene like a blonde bombshell.
Called the next Marilyn Monroe, sexy new starlet Chris played opposite Steve McQueen in SOLDIER IN THE RAIN, and co-starred in GIRL HAPPY with Elvis Presley!
But in 1965, after visiting wounded veretans in a hospital, Chris realized her true calling. The starlet became a soldier.
Chris became a DJ for Armed Forces Radio Network, and her daily radio show, "A Date with Chris," was an instant hit.
While visiting Vietnam in person to sing for the boys, Chris braved sniper fire and experienced a terrifying helicopter crash.
In the 1970s, as war raged abroad and at home, Chris got married to a handsome young Lieutenant ... but her battlefield romance was devastated by a shocking tragedy.
In the 1990s, after opening a number of shelters for homeless veterans, she went on to become a national advocate and icon for a lost generation of Vietnam vets.
Today, thousands of American military veterans are homeless. Thats right! Brave men and women who fought for our country are sleeping in boxes, and under bridges. I think thats an outrage!
So I did something about it. I started Vetsville Cease Fire House, a nonprofit charity dedicated to providing shelter for homeless, handicapped or indigent veterans. We currently run two shelters exclusively for veterans, in West Palm Beach and Boynton Beach.
I hope you'll honor their sacrifices by sending a generous contribution to: Vetsville Cease Fire House Inc., 291 N.E. 19th Avenue, Boynton Beach, Florida 33435.
